New Birth Song
*
PART I
It’s been there all along
Wispy blanket made of thorn
Cold touch. Silent tone
And a ceiling made of stone
Plastic gloves. Dry air
Broken arrows, needing care
*
Death’s call was so insistant
Sunk and numb quite persistant
Quietly wrenched out from the womb
Crying for air out of the gloom
Levitating
Hesitating
Broken sea
Brutal intimacy
*
Such persistant impressions
Pain in constant obsessions
It would have me close the door
Send me to another floor
Was it the plan to make me strong ?
Would it be hell for all life long ?
PART II
It's been there to manifest
Glimpse of life in my chest
Two bright particles of light
Guiding me up, leading my sight
Giving me warmth, seeding me hope
Wisdom to fight, reasons to cope
*
Pushed me in. Urged me too :
‘ you can find a breakthrough ! ’
Dance with time. Grasp my hand
Life will come even unplanned
Strive i do with every breath
Fighting pain, beating death
*
Hold on tight soldier sweet
And you will your sisters meet
Trust the way. Trust it all
You are not here to fall
Don’t be less than alive
Your endeavor is to thrive
*
We are here by your side
Feel the wave. Gently slide
Clouds and trees talking to you
Laughs and tears guiding through
Take it all if you dare
Build your castle anywhere
PART III
Grow those potent appetites
Upward path, fly to the heights
Temper the hunger, raise your head
Soon your story will be said
To whatever is unknown
You don’t need to be alone
*
Fear and light so very close
Making peace with my prose
Thwarting each of the dark drapes
Quietly shaping my escapes
Keeping sight of solutions
Falling not in delusions
PART IV
Did i not feel the murk
On me did it harshly lurk ?
Would my colours gleam the same
With other blood in my frame ?
And my pulse rooted so deep
Not knowing these cliffs so steep ?
*
Thus, somedays, i did feel tired
Craving for love, support, desire
Sure one day death will win
Never magic, saviour, djinn
Not today, nor tomorrow
And not for a long time - no
*
Now is to dance and embrace
All of the winds interchase
Live, adore. Cuddle the rain
Inhale peace forthwith to rein
I was trapped on ‘survive’
Coming back wholly alive
